APSSDC in collaboration with CSIR-IICT (Council of Scientific and Industrial Research-Indian Institute of Chemical Technology) is offering job-oriented Skill Development Course on Advanced Pharma Biotechnology (APB) for M. Sc. Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry or Bioinformatics and - B.E./ B. Tech/ B. V. Sc./M. Tech/ B. Pharm/ M. Pharm – Biotechnology, Bioinformatics Pharmacy students. SELECTION PROCESS FOR CSIR IICT SKILL DEVELOPMENT COURSE






The selection process will be as per CSIR rules. The short-listed applicants will be called for an interview (No TA/DA will be paid).



The eligibility criteria



  • A minimum of 55% marks/score in the qualifying examination

  • Be a native of A.P or have 10 years of uninterrupted study in A.P.




Maximum intake of the candidates is 250. The candidates will be provided hostel accommodation at CSIR - IICT campus during Hands on Training (approximately Rs.10,000/- is to be borne by the student) subject to availability.





 


About Skill Development Course





Duration of the course is 6 months.



Part 1: Extensive THEORETICAL training (6 hours/day) at the respective University centres (Visakhapatnam – Andhra; Guntur- Nagarjuna; Rajahmundry- Nannaya; Kadapa- Yogi Vemana) on Saturday and Sundays and other holidays.


Part 2: Extensive HANDS ON TRAINING at CSIR-IICT, Hyderabad.





During the training the participants will be trained as per industry requirements on issues like Regulatory affairs, IPR, Analytical techniques, Safety standards, Entrepreneurship and Soft skills.





Outcomes







  1. Students will be empowered with the necessary skills to make them employable in Biotech & Pharma industries both in research and service areas.

  2. Students are exposed to hands-on training at IICT/ various industrial units.

  3. Dual certification from LSSSDC and CSIR-IICT will enhance employability and certification by LSSSDC has been made mandatory to be employable in pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical manufacturing units.

  4. Since the entire program is designed as per the Industry needs and of International standards,  there will be a possibility for 60 - 70% absorption of trained students in Industries/ CSIR  and  Other research institutes/  Universities.etc. and rest can be absorbed by Incubates.






How to apply for APB






The online application form is available on the CSIR-IICT website (www.iictindia.org). Candidates desirous should apply through online only. Registration fee of Rs. 250/- has to be paid in favor of Director, CSIR-IICT Hyderabad-07. Payment can be made via DD/NEFT/IMPS/SB Collect transfer to Director, CSIR-IICT, Hyderabad [Bank – State Bank of India, Account No. 62047032288, IFSC code: SBIN0020087, (SB Collect:  https://www.onlinesbi.com/sbicollect). Registration Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.




Upon successful submission of online application form,  candidates can view and print the application form. Candidate has to sign on printed application and affix a latest passport photograph and send the application along with all supporting documents to the below address.
